The 6-merous flowers are occurring in Elytranthe and Macrosolen. The flowers are sessile in the former while pedicellate in the latter. I am not getting this character clearly. Please confirm the generic identity.
Leaves obovate and pubescent, grey and tomentose corolla, corolla slit on one side, bracts longer than the calyx…..I think the specimen matches with the desciption and images of Taxillus heyneanus in the Digital Flora of Karnataka @ http://florakarnataka.ces.iisc.ernet.in/hjcb2/herbsheet.php…
Experts to please examine and validate.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I thought that the flowers were 6-merous. One more key to the specimen…..http://efloraindia.nic.in/efloraindia/taxonList.action?id=14&type=3….. I think it matches with Taxillus heyneanus….!!
