Dendrocalamus strictus ?;

Please identify this bamboo plant. Someone identified it as Dendrocalamus strictus (locally bans in urdu) but i need its confirm identification. It is planted in university campus, Lahore, Pakistan with name plate Bambusa ventricosa which doesnt look right to me.
Pl. also check with images at I agree with the genus Dendrocalamus, but I am not sure with the species, because there is no inflorescences. |
