Please help to identify this monocot plant with white flowers from a garden in Trivandrum.
Photographed today (25.6.13)

Looks somewhat like Iris flower??

Any Hypoxis sp.?

This is Eleuthrine plicata of Iridaceae, commonly known in Malayalam as Vishanarayani

Thanks … for the correct ID.

Beautiful. I had this plant in my garden at home. I remember identifying it as Eleutherine plicata.

By the way, …, I never seen a white Hypoxis. Strange, why all Hypoxis and Curculigo are yellow !!
