It (Arisaema speciosum var. mirabile) differs from normal speciosum by a rough, rugose appendix whereas normal speciosum has a smooth surface of the appendix. Also the appendix is generally more enlarged and thicker like can be seen on the picture. It grows at higher altitudes and flowers later than normal speciosum.
