I am Nepal and I would like to share some photos of Rhododendrons from Nepal’s Himalayas. Yes R. Arboreum is national flower of Nepal. Here are two species photo from high altitudes. Rhododendron Setosum and Rhododendron Antopogon are from altitude of around 4500M in Everest region of Nepal. I just took them in May.

Medicinal values:

R. Arboreum, R. Hodgsonii and R. Barbatum flowers used in Nepali hilli  regions as a medicine for chock, specially fish bones.

R. Anotopogon and R. Celiatum are use for burning incense.
