ID of Flowering Plant – 161012 – RK4 : Attachments (4). 5 posts by 4 authors.

Request ID of this plant. Pics taken in Lalbagh, Bangalore – 15-10-12 in the morning.
I had been requested to find out the ID of the host plant which had an Oleander Hawk Moth [ Daphnis nerii ] caterpillar – [pics in my next post ]- a month back. On this visit to Lalbagh i thought this was the same plant as i have shown in this post -but i have my doubts now. Would request for clarification in my next post.

This is Gardenia carinata, Syn Gardenia coronaria of family Rubiaceae as I understand.
Experts, kindly correct me if wrong.
Common name Golden Gardenia.
Seen at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore.
