Cultivated Clematis seen with white flowers on 27/9/2010.
Very small plant, spread horizontally.


This may be Clematis recta L.


… has identified it as Clematis paniculata to my posting (for id) of the same earlier. I feel he is right.


Cultivated Clematis often seen in gardens i.e. Clematis gouriana (now included under one of the subspecies of  Clematis peterae), also looks similar to  the photographs forwarded by you. Therefore, in order to confirm whether it is C. recta or C. peterae you have to check all the characters
