Kuntze as per Dyschoriste. I don’t know how it has been made as syn. of Dyschoriste litoralis (L.f.) Nees by The Plant List based on WCSP (in review) . Any clarification in the matter will be most welcome. It is Dyschoriste madurensis (Burm.f) Kuntze in Flora of Tamilnadu. I presented following the plant list. Is the type specimen from Madurai?

Attachments (9) Please help me to identify this herb from Acanthaceae found in drylands of southern Tamilnadu. Leaf: 2-3 cm long Flower: 1-1.5 cm across / 2 – 2.5 cm long Habitat: Open fallow land / dry lands Location: Tirunelveli Dist., TN Date: 18 March 2015 Alt.: 105 m asl Presently I don’t have any idea on this species. Dyschoriste spp. Perhaps D. depressa or D. littorlis? Dyschoriste madurensis.
