Please help in the identification of this Premna species, is it Premna corymbosa 

It is a scandent shrub; leaves glabrous, flowers in cymes, corolla purplish, 1 cm long. Calyx 2 lipped. fruit globose, 0.5 cm across, seated on the persistent calyx.

Yes, … A less known species, seem to be confused with other species

It is only recorded from AP and TN in India, and from Sri Lanka.

where exactly in the western ghats

Premna sp?

Looks like a species of Premna; probably P. alstonii, the fruits turn purple when ripe.
