Yes, this is a good match with Machilus gamblei. However, please check the young parts and inflorescences carefully which should be pubescent. Maybe high resolution images will help.

Also appears good as per POWO specimen and as per species listed in Checklist of Nepal (with Persea bombycina (King ex Hook. f.) Kosterm. being a syn. of Machilus gamblei King ex Hook.f. as per POWO)
