Seen in various colors, cultivated in gardens, during visit to Kodaikanal in Oct, 2008.

These are all gardening hybrid varieties (Marketing trade name—Azaleas) eg, ‘Formosa’ . Actually these are hybrid between two Rhododendron spp. therefore, it is difficult to name taxonomically. So I suggest you to go through “Gardening Plant Books”.

I can understand it is difficult to correctly identify Hybrids.
The closest I could think of on searching is Satsuki Azalea, Southern Indica Hybrid Azalea.
