BARLERIA : HOST PLANT FOR PANSY BUTTERFLIES. : 1 post by 1 author. Attachments (6).
Few days back I saw few full grown caterpillars on a Barleria Sp. Krushnamegh Kunte’s book BUTTERFLIES OF PENINSULAR INDIA helped me zero on the species of butterfly to emerge. As per this book different Pansy butterfly lay eggs on Barleria sp. Next few days I kept watch. I was able to collect a pupa and brought it to my house. On the seventh day a Lemon Pansy butterfly emerged. Attaching few images to show that cycle.
