Desmodium pryonii DC. (Syn: Desmodium prisoni sensu Schindl. [Spelling variant]; Desmodium wightii Wight & Arn.; Hedysarum pryonii (DC.) Spreng.; Meibomia wightii (Wight & Arn.) Kuntze);
Erect shrubs; stems angled, villous. Leaflets to 7 x 3.5 cm, rhomboid, acuminate at apex, densely hairy below; stipule 1 cm long, broad at base, subulate above. Racemes to 23 cm long, slender; pedicel 2-4-together, 8 mm long. Flowers pink, 3 mm across; calyx 2 mm long, lobes acute, hairy; standard orbicular, not clawed. Pods 6-jointed, deeply crenate on ventral sutures, shallowly along dorsal sutures; joints 3 x 2.5 mm, glabrous. Flowering and fruiting: January-April
