The weather has been inclement for the past few days with rains and an occasional hailstorm lashing the hillsides. As this area has high levels of humidity for much of the year, we have a decent variety of mosses. I photographed a couple of more common ones to share. I will be grateful for all help in identifying these.

Both the images are of the same plant – a species of genus Polytrichum of the family Polytrichaceae. Thank you very much … I photographed the same plant from different angles to show different characteristics.
