L lutea has yellow flower hence there is no chance for this name for your plant.

I think this plant can be
Lepidagathis cuspidata Nees in Wall.,

I think ur identification is correct. Though Lepidagathis is a big genus. I’m also trying ti validate ur id.

Please make the lovely effort to validate my identification. Hope my ID finds its way to the top.

I think this to be L. rigida Dalz.

This may be Nelsonia canescens

Lepidagathis prostrata as per another thread.

Looks different from images at Lepidagathis

I think it may be Lepidagathis shrirangii as per new publication at Lepidagathis shrirangii (Acanthaceae) a new species from Konkan region of Maharashtra, India

May I request you to pl. confirm this as Lepidagathis shrirangii as per your publication at Lepidagathis shrirangii (Acanthaceae) a new species from Konkan region of Maharashtra, India

Yes It’s L. shrirangii.

Lepidagathis species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available)

After scanning flora of Bombay presidency I would say this is lepidagathis prostrata, Dalz  in Kew Journ. Boi. v. 2 (1850)

Please refer given Snapshot From Book

Good identification …! I think you are right.

Thanks … for showing us this interesting plant.

could u also check the characters for L. rigida just to understand how L. prostrata is different than rigida….

L.prostrata is prostrate as you described in your table it is spread on ground if it is L.rigida then it should be erect herb.

In L.prostrata lower lip is oblong whereas (in L.rigida lower lip is oblong obtuse)
Please refer snapshot and illustration of L.rigida

Posted in 2010 & published as a new species in 2019
This was posted by Prashant ji in 2010 as per details at Lepidagathis sp.100410-PKA1
This plant was published as a new species in 2019 (Lepidagathis shrirangii (Acanthaceae) a new species from Konkan region of Maharashtra, India – PRATIK DILIP NATEKAR, DEVIDAS BHAUSAHEB BORUDE, SHARAD SURESH KAMBALE & ARUN, NIVRUTTI CHANDORE, June 2019 Phytotaxa 405(4):215-220) as per details herein.
Again highlighting the fact that so many species are posted here much before these are published. However, only a few come to our knowledge.
