Description: Herbs, annual, 15-20 cm tall, unbranched or with few lateral branches; hirsute, hairs firm and spreading. Leaves opposite; subsessile; lamina oblong-elliptic, 3-4 × 0.7-1 cm, cuneate at base, slightly crenate; adpressed with long eglandular hairs, clearly gland-dotted. Flowers white, in 1-1.5cm long, in few flowered (20-30) lax whorls, in 2-4 rows. Bracts narrow ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, equal to or somewhat shorter than calyces, ciliate on margins. Calyx 10 mm, tubular, prominently ribbed and curved at middle and almost reflexed in fruit, hairy in throat, with a somewhat oblique mouth, gland-dotted and with spreading eglandular hairs; teeth 10, unequal, narrow linear-lanceolate, acuminate mucronulate, longest teeth up to 2 mm. Corolla white 10-12 mm; upper lip short bearded; lower lip clearly longer than upper. Nutlets narrow oblong, scarcely trigonous, 2.5 ×1 mm, smooth.
