Pachycymbium keithii (R.A. Dyer) L.C. Leach, Excelsa, Taxon. Ser. 1: 71 1978.
Syn: Caralluma keithii R. A. Dyer; Orbea carnosa subs. keithii (R.A.Dyer) Bruyns
Native of Zimbabwe, succulent plant without leaves with decumbent branches 4-angled with sharp tubercles in vertical rows; flowers fleshy, 10-20 mm in diam, in groups of 1-3; sepals 5, 3-5 mm long; corolla 5-lobed, marked with fine teeth along edges, surface maroon with white to pale yellow stripes and dots, sometimes much more creamy yellow towards the central annulus surrounding the corona, with a few clavate hairs near the base of the lobes
