This images had been lying in my dubia folder until I chanced upon the identity last week.
I have been seeing this grass for the past two years and the images attached have been captured between August and November.
Identification pointers:
Peduncle below the spikes and rachis of the spikes hairy (-742).
Ligule: narrow fimbriate membrane.
Spike length: 2 in
Spikelets have awn.
Racemes are compact (-09432).
