66th Tree Appreciation Walk at Kanheri Caves, SGNP on 11th Oct,15 at 7.30 am : 1 post by 1 author. Attachments (7)
The beautiful ephemerals, the vulnerable herbs, delicate climbers & vines, the tall trees…..bids adieu to monsoon after a hectic schedule of flowering, fruiting, dispersing…….making food for themselves and for the other inmates of the forest…..the grasses have stopped growing too……there is this magnificent silence & stillness everywhere………
Its time for us to sit quietly……..listen to the whole great symphony of the life there, the echo of the trees…… and before green turns into the Golden yellow everywhere …..we take you through, near Kanheri Caves, a very secluded winding path, crowded both the side with the tall trees of Amti, Kante Savar, Alu, Dhaman, Hasoli,….. opening on a small hillock where on Thor (Euphorbia nerifolia), one can see the networking of Social Spiders everywhere…. and finally the dazzling display of clear blue sky and green canopy of the trees…
