I found this flower near wetland of Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai. Went through plenty of webpages, Google image search and pages of FlowersOfIndia but no luck been offered. Can anyone help me with this?

Check with Melochia Species.

Could be Melochia pyramidata.

… idea is correct and it is indeed in FOI. look closely at all elements. you will find similarities, even in the older shriveled flower and buds and the edge of the leaf

Yep. initially I thought it would be part of Verbenaceae family due to it’s leaf parttern; I searched in same fashion but I was wrong.

Thanks a lot …for the Help. Yes it is Melochia pyramidata; all characteristics the matches with my observation. thanks once again.
