Visit to Orchid Park, Kaziranga : 3 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2)
Recently I had visited Kaziranga. There I visited Kaziranga National Orchid & Biodiversity park. The park has a green house and has around 500 varieties of different orchids (No hybrid ones). I could see only a few ones as for most of them the flowering starts in April.
Also, I had visited the orchid photo gallery where photos of several species are displayed. The photos are taken by none other than our members Dr. Pankaj Kumar and Khyanjeet Gogoi. Sample images of the gallery are attached here. The park also has a rice museum where more than 200 varieties of rice could be seen. That’s interesting. I have never been to Kaziranga !!! So may be its not me taking picture for them.
