Wild orchid from Hong Kong ! Very beautiful…!! It is reported from Andamans otherwise known from Myanmar, so I am sure it should be in north east India. such a cute orchid !! and incredible picture as always Here is one more from my DSLR. Thanks a lot for your comments. nice find. at first look it seems to be a rust colored snail slowly creeping up the stem. may be call it a snail orchid 😄
== is it because the petal is rolled up? thanks for the pics it looks like a spider actually!! okkkk. orange spider? but those spike ae th ebottom looked like the antenae that snals have… anyway i see you are back again. ice to see you. any more papers? and your bot g’s journal? Some papers are stuck, but hopefully this year I will have around 4 more. I don’t know if I sent you the new one on Goodyera? Yes have seen it, you had sent it to me (THE PLOS one biology paper) a few months ago and we talked of the tibetan/dryland/upland plateau etc. partly read it (what i could decipher quickly) and the detailed consensus trees need some reading for a non-botanist. so is waiting. Good luck with your pursuits Cryptostylis arachnites (Blume) Hassk. in C.L.Blume, Coll. Orchid.: 133 (1859).
