Polygonatum multiflorum (L.) All. (Asparagaceae) is a frequent herb in subalpine and alpine areas of Uttarakhand. The plants in forests are taller and longer while the plants in alpine meadows are comparatively smaller (as seen here).
Photographed in Sunderdhunga Valley, Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand at an elevation of about 3400m in June 2012.
The species is not represented in eFI.

The images of the Polygonatum appear to be the whorled (3 per node usually) leaved P. geminiflorum which is an endemic to the NW Himalaya.
