India: W. Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya (endemic) as per BSI Flora of India;

Bangladesh; Bhutan; China; India (Andaman Is.); Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia); Thailand; Viet Nam

A common species found scattered in primary and secondary evergreen forest on limestone.
It is threatened by habitat destruction.
