Please ID this plant seen growing in one of the castle grounds in Salzburg, Austria. Is this some Fragaria?. This was clicked in April 2016.

I think yes Fragaria vesca


Looks like Fragaria genus, but difficult to distinguish the species. Could be Fragaria vesca or Fragaria moschata.


Thanks …, although F. vesca does show a lot of variability, looking at leaflet shape and teeth F. moschata is a good possibility, especially because the plant is from Europe.


I guess it is more close to Fragaria moschata Duchesne !
