Clematis…???
I AM intending to comment about this and the other two Clematis in Nepal whose images have been posted in recent weeks.
I have taken an initial look at this Clematis but cannot, as things stand, with any of the species listed from Nepal in the Enumeration Vol II from 1979. Shall examine things further in due course incl. checking with any additional Clematis recognised from Nepal
since then.
Yes, the flowers look similar to a low-altitude species of Clematis recorded for Nepal (and in India) but quite apart from the elevation this was photographed being MUCH higher than the known altitudinal range for this species, the foliage does not bear any resemblance.
