Leafless stragglers; branches succulent, terete, jointed; latex milky. Umbels terminal, 5 – 15 flowered; flowers creamy; pedicels 0.7-1.2 cm, creamy, puberulous. Calyx 5-lobed; lobes ovate-lanceolate, ca 2 mm. Corolla 1.4-1.8 cm across, 5-lobed; lobes ca 6 x 3 mm, oblong, obtusely acute at apex. Outer corona 10-lobed, wavy, ca 2 mm; inner ca 2 mm. Pollinia 5. Stigma acuminate at apex. Fruit smooth 7-10 cm long; seeds oblong, ca 5 x 2 mm, winged; coma silky.

Flowers in sessile, umbels, terminal and lateral; sepals 0.2cm, ovate-oblong, acute; petals 0.6cm, oblong, obtuse; outer corona with 10 obtuse lobes on margin, inner corona oblong, subacute; pollen masses waxy; style apex oblong-fusiform, exserted beyond the anthers
