Perennials. Culms 60-150 cm high, erect; nodes glabrous. Leaves 12-35 x 0.6-1.7 cm, linear-lanceolate, base cordate, apex acuminate; sheaths to 10 cm long, ciliate along one-margin, densely bearded at mouth; ligules membranous. Panicles 15-35 cm long, spiciform, much contracted; branches 2.5-9 cm long. Spikelets 2.5-3.5 mm long, ovate-lanceolate. Lower glume 1-1.5 x 0.5-1 mm, ovate, acuminate. Upper glume 2-2.5 x 1 mm, ovate. Lower floret barren. Upper floret bisexual. First lemma 2-3 x 1-1.5 mm, ovate-lanceolate, margins hyaline. Palea c. 1 mm long, oblong. Second lemma 2-2.5 x 0.5-1 mm, elliptic or ovate-lanceolate, acute, subcoriaceous. Palea 1.5-2 x 0.5-1 mm, oblong-lanceolate, subcoriaceous. Stamens 2 or 3; anthers yellow with violet margins. Ovary c. 1 mm long; stigmas pink. Grains 1-1.5 mm long, ovate.

Panicum species_Manipur?? : 3 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (3)- around 1 mb each. 

Please suggest the ID of the grass (attached photos) whether it is Panicum sp. or not. It was observed in the month of June at Jiribam, Manipur at the elevation of 33m mean sea level.
