Dr. Marselin R. Almeida passed away : 7 posts by 7 authors. I am deeply saddened to share about the passing away of Dr. MR Almeida. He died today morning at the age of 79 in his residence at Mumbai. A big and irreversible loss of the plant taxonomy field in India. We have lost a great teacher and field botanist. He will always be remembered for his contribution to the Flora of Maharashtra, Sawantwadi and adjoin. May his soul rest in peace.
The news of Dr.M.R. Almeida’s demise saddened me, It is a big loss to the Botanists and the Taxonomists community. May his soul rests in Peace.
Its a big loss to all.. I pray for the departed soul…his contributions to plant taxonomy have been inspirational, a big loss to botanical fraternity..RIP May his soul rest in peace; he will always be remembered for his tremendous contributions to field of botany and taxonomy.
