Is the google image correct ? Am not sure about these google images. I always prefer tallying my specimens with available flora literature and never with online images whose provenance is (most of the times) unknown. Hence I have tallied my specimen with Cook’s flora and it fits in very well! Thanks, …, There is no harm in comparing if these are from reliable net links. Thanks, … Your id is perfectly all right in view of the following: http://plants.jstor.org/al.ap.specimen.k000852227
I have left comment on Herbaium JCB link for their id being incorrect. . Can you send the habitat and basal and upper leaf images ?
Senecio multiceps N.P.Balakr. ?? I think it’s Senecio gibsonii, plz validate Lower leaves do not seem to match as per POWO specimen. Senecio multiceps N.P.Balakr. ?? Does not match with this also as per POWO. I tried to check with species listed in Flora of Peninsular India, with distribution in Maharashtra, but could not find a match. Ok, I’ll check. during the next visit to the location What are the other species listed in Maharashtra? Senecio species found in Maharashtra – S bombayensis, S hewrensis, S edgeworthi, S gibsonii, S belgaumensis, S dalzelii. Than it must be out of these only. It is Senecio dalzellii.
Linear leaves, dichotomous branching are the key characters.
