Agastyamalai Hills. There are also two records of the species occurring in northern Kerala and North Kanara in Karnataka. Very little of the habitat remains.

Date/Time-: 12/05/11 – 07:45 Location- Place, Altitude – Kaiga , Uttar Kannada ,Karnataka, 380 mtrs Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- wild Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- tree Height/Length- 10 mtr Myristica swamps do occur in Karnataka. This one might be Myristica fatua var. magnifica. I didn’t find var. magnifica in the Plant List as per link below:
