Kind request to ID this fruiting plant from the forest fringes near Mudigere, Chikmagalur district.

Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb-

forest fringe, shrub(?),

Height/Length-approx – 15cms approx
Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- Shape – elliptic, whorl, 3cms
Inflorescence Type/ Size-
Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts-
Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- 1.5cms-2.5cms, approx.

Other Information like Fragrance, Pollinator, Uses etc.-


I have no idea about the sp. but pictures are very beautiful. 


I am not sure what it is, but just remembered, once … had shared some what similar photographs of the fruits of some clerodendrum sp.


That looks like a pentalocular ovary with single ovule in each


How about Ochna obtusata???


I second … It may be some species of Ochna


Any chance of Campylospermum serratum (Gaertn.) Bittrich & M.C.E.Amaral ??


Looks different from images at Gomphia serrata

I checked all species listed under Ochnaceae in FoPI, but it looks different.
