Erect shrubs; stem subscandent, glabrous. Leaves 4-6 x 2-3 cm, lanceolate, rounded at the acute apex, round at base; nerves from the base and from midrib, distinct below; petiole 2-3 mm long. Cymes terminal or axillary, lax; peduncle 5-10 cm long, glabrous; bracts 1-2 mm long, subulate. Flowers 3-5 together; pedicel 5 mm long, stout; calyx tube 2 mm long, campanulate, glabrous, lobes 6 mm long, narrow; corolla tube 2-2.5 cm long, lobes 1.5-1.7 cm long, oblong, acute. Berry 8 x 7 mm, ovoid, glabrous. Flowering and fruiting: January-April
