Plant for ID from Jammu 220312 SRANA: Request for Identification
Kindly identify this tree species.
Location Jammu.
When was it photographed. By any chance May-June?? It looks like Jamun tree. The photography time is late March 2011
Then not Jamun. Could be Ligustrum, may be L. lucidum, check further for flowers.
But sir, the fruits looks bit bigger (here) for this being Ligustrum lucidum.

May be the shape of the fruit as well. In Ligustrum it is little elongated here it looks globose. I was also thinking of Ligustrum but the fruit size and the leaf shape and venation made me to think. |
