Some fern?

I guess so …

Hymenophyllum tenellum (“H. polyanthos” auct. Asiat.) very common to abundant throughout the Himalaya and has much polymorphic continuous variation in frond shape and degree of dissection.

Hymenophyllum from Arunashal Pradesh march 2024: 3 images.

Let’s continue with the ferns of my last indian trip this spring.
This time, I think I have a genus (well, not even sure of it).
Let’s go with the pictures, taken from the side of the road near the village of Sessa, at an elevation of around 1200m

Yes, Hymanophyllum. That’s Hymenophyllum tenellum, a close Asian relative of the American H. polyanthos. I know the Arunachal ferns well as my book on them is nearly complete now!

Thank you very much. It seems that Hymenophyllum tenellum is also present in the french island of La Réunion in southern Indian Ocean.
Is H. tenellum the only species of the genus in Arunachal ? I have another observation near Dirang.
I will post many pteridophytes from Arunashal as I have a few dozen unidentified ferns from this part of India. Tell me if it is too much for this group or if I should continue.

Pl. continue to post.
