Small evergreen shrub or tree with lanceolate to oblanceolate up to 6 cm long leaves with conspicous veins, green above, whitish beneath; Flowers small in 6-8 mm long racemes with a terminal female flower surrounded by very closely arranged male flowers; sepals oblong, 2-3 mm long, bilobed at apex; capsule ovoid, walnut brown, 6- 10 mm long, 5-6 mm in diam. with 2 divergent 2-3 mm long horns.
