Ochna integerrima (Lour.) Merr. ??
To me looks different from images at urls
Then Ochna squarrosa is correct?
Url ? Which Ochna squarrosa as per http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/search/all/key/Ochna+squarrosa/fossil/1/match/1?
If it is Ochna integerrima (Lour.) Merr. it could be Ochna squarrosa Kurz., I guess.
KEY TO THE GENERA (this is an active link)
i may for sake of completion here:
there are About 85 species of Ochna: mainly in tropical Africa, a few species in tropical Asia; one species in China.
per eflora your single picture is from a cultivated plant. so no saying where the origin is. if it was wild we could guess and give benefit of doubt may be it could be the one listed as chinese species. the one you want to call it. but…. AT this juncture: its OCHNA sp not otherwise specified. caution is always good.
IS this the fruit of same plant ??
