… found a lone purple hued mushroom; ID please.

We too found purple-violate mushrooms ? ID on 20TH Sept 2009.

Place – Sanjay Gandhi National Park–Kanheri Trail– Mumbai.

For the time being it is Clitocybe sp. I will let you know the species later.

Zero in Mushroom taxonomy but your picture reminds me of Collybia sp.
