Mushrooms growing on elephant dropping. : Attachments (4). 5 posts by 4 authors.

ID of the mushroom please. All the four pictures are taken of one
single mushroom growing on elephant dropping. Remnants of the dropping on the root.
Diameter of mushroom cap 3″ roughly.

The gills structure and morphology reminds me of Coprinus radians !!

Does Coprinus radians have a ring? According to my book it doesn’t.

Looks different from images of Coprinus radians at Kees Uljé Coprinus site

Species of Agaricus

The concerned species can not be a species of Coprinus, instead it most probably belongs to Agaricus.
