Please ID this ornamental captured at Jijamata Udyan Flower Show in Feb 2015. No flowers were observed.

its a set of green cabbage plants before the center develops the globular laef structure we eat

Thanks …, so it is Brassica oleracea?

When I googled for the botanical name of cabbage, I found something totally unknown to me till now – cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, brussels sprouts, alkohl/navalkohl are all actually the same species…….Brassica oleracea
I need to do some reading now, thanks …

good self study is the best teacher and worry over what i read is how i learn

and doubts are important and then resolve up to a point and then ask again

efi page on Brassica oleracea

Nurseries these days are supplying several ornamental cultivars of Brassica which I haven’t seen or noticed before. I thank … for the identity of this pant and … for sharing it.

A search of “Brassica pak choi” or “Brassica Mei Qing Choi” would give similar images.

Thank you … for indicating the ID… yes, it does look like Pak choi, which is considered to be chinese cabbage and used in chinese cuisine (even in Mumbai in the chinese dishes available in restaurants, not in the chinese street food). Thanks again, I clicked the pics in the fruits and vegetables section of the Flower Show…
