Can not say much on perusal of the following (leaf and stem shape look close):
Can not open Flora of China for keys, if it suit us.
Also look at images and details at Elatostema lineolatum Wight
We have to look for experts (do we have any ?) and keys.

I think close. Also check with description at Flora of China.

I am feeling now it is not E. cuspidata. Could it be Elatostema albopilosum W. T. Wang var. vicinum L. D. Duan & Y. Lin, var. nov. or related to it ?

Thanks, …, Yes, it may not be E. cuspidata, but it is also not Elatostema albopilosum W.T. Wang var. vicinum L. D. Duan & Y. Lin

After following keys in flora of Bhutan and Checklist of Nepal,
I think it may be either Elatostema dissectum Wedd. as per
or Elatostema nasutum J. D. Hooker
After going through the detailed descriptions and details above, I feel it is more closer to Elatostema dissectum Wedd.
