Tree seen in a cultivated garden in New Jersey during my visit in June,17.

I think it is anogeissus
For me it is NOT Yes, doesn’t look like Anogeissus to me as well.
Could be Fagus Species?

Most probably it is F.sylvatica. Your suggested id looks close to me as well.
