Tree seen in a cultivated garden in New Jersey during my visit in June,17.

Having brown fruits.

Unfortunately, I have only one picture.

I think it is anogeissus

Most probably it is F.sylvatica.

Your suggested id looks close to me as well.

not a beech. fruit is something else. what is it? I don’t know. too varied

It was at Somerset County Park in New Jersey.
