Polygonum plebeium

a knotweed. is it weedy where you found it or rare?

Common in Bihar on the edges of shallow waterlogged areas. shows more and more as the water recedes. UP should be no exception.

Thanks, …, for the id.
Hi, …,
Can you also check the keys in Flora of Pakistan as below, as the details in your posted images are not clear ?:
20 (19) Flowers distinctly pedicellate, exserted from the ochreae. All tepals almost equal in size. 15 P. effusum (Stamens 8)
+ Flowers sessile to subpedicellate, mostly sunken among the ochreae, rarely exserted. Outer tepals slightly longer. 16 P. plebejum (Stamen 5)

Are the stamens 5 or 8 ?

Thanks … Will check.

is it a prolific weed or a rare occurrence? in a cultivated field or

disturbed land?

Thanks … My view it is rare. Rocky out crop of Vindhyas in Agra District. And land disturbed by livestocks.

Polygonum plebeium R.Br. ?

Plz identify?

Loc- Kota Rajasthan

Polygonum plebeium R.Br.

I agree with …

I find leaves a bit different from those at Polygonum plebeium and Polygonum effusum

Is the id OK?

Here also leaves and flowers look a bit different.

Maybe … can throw more light in the matter.

But aren’t both same as per the links I have sent ?

Not as per … and POWO.
