Allium giganteum Regel

Common name: Giant onion
Tallest species in the genus with up to 1.8 m, leaves 4-6 cm broad, up to 40 cm long, tall scape, and lilac flowers with 12-15 cm across globose umbel. Commonly grown as ornamental.
