Common name: Bush Anemone
Evergreen shrub native of California with opposite lanceolate leaves, glossy on upper surface, often downy beneath, sweet-scented up to 7 cm across flowers with 5-8 petals and numerous stamens with yellow anthers, and leathery capsules.
