Nepal to China (NW. Yunnan); China South-Central, East Himalaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet as per POWO;

Common name: Forrest’s Golden-Saxifrage


Similar to C. griffithii but ± thickly rhizomatous, surrounded at base by remains of petioles; leaves up to 5cm across, margin with 5-13 shallow lobes 1-3mm deep on either side; cymes ± compact, flowers subsessile; bracts bright yellow; flowers yellow.

Chrysosplenium forrestii
Location: Close to Bumla Pass (Indo-China border) in Arunachal Pradesh. June end.
There is another closely similar species Chrysosplenium arunachalense which has oblong leaves, in contrast to the kidney-shaped leaves of this one.
