Densely caespitose with wiry, branching, erect or trailing stems 5-15cm, sparsely glandular-pubescent, often bearing scaly buds in leaf axils above. Leaves elliptic, 4-8 x 0.5-1mm, acuminate to a bristle-like point, narrowed to a ciliate stem-clasping petiolar base, margin inrolled and bearing 1-2 cilia on each side. Flowers solitary on pedicels up to 1.5cm, glandular-pubescent. Calyx 4mm, reddish, lobes ovate, 2.5 x 1.5mm, obtuse. Petals obovate or oblanceolate, 7-8 x 2-3mm, yellow.
