Iochroma australe Griseb. (syn: Acnistus australis (Griseb.) Griseb.)
Mini Angel’s trumpet
A scandent shrub often arching in fences and walls; leaves elliptic oblong; flowers usually light lviolet to blue, rarely white drooping in clusters of 6-12; calyx campanulate 4-6 mm long, with small rounded lobes; corolla tubular 5-8 cm long, with, somewhat funnel-shaped towards top with 20-30 mm wide limb; stamens and style slightly exserted.
I clicked this shrub for the first time in Sunnyvale Californiaand on searching found we have another species of this in our database, I. cyaneum uploaded by …from Ooty, easily differentiated from my plant in numerous flowers in the cluster and not completely drooping.
