Acanthaceae Fortnight ::ID Request ??:: Chikmagalur :: PKA-MAR62/62: : 4 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (10)

Looks like some Acanthaceae sp. again..
I had seen this in Chikmaglur region (Karnataka) near Village Kolugame..
Date/Time: 28-01-2014 / 01:50PM
Habitat: Wild
Plant habit: Herb ( erect herb, almost 15 cm in ht)
Flower size small, approx 6 to 8mm..

Not familiar. Nice find, … !!

Asystasia dalzelliana Santapau ??

Thanks, …, for the genus id.
I think it is Asystasia variabilis Trim. as per GBIF– specimenFlora of Peninsular India
Image given in GBIF is of some other species.
Going by other specimens (Specimen 1Specimen 2), I think leaves appear to be quite variable.
I have checked all other species found in India. It does not match with other species as per details at Asystasia
