Two tree species sharing nutrients in SGNP:
I came across this interesting feature yesterday in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) Mumbai. Two tree species joined together in two places, sharing nutrients. Is the one on the right Lannea coromandelica and the left one a Lagerstroemia species? Sorry, I omitted to take photos of leaves and flowers, if any.
Has anyone observed this before?

I have been corrected by a botanist friend. The two tree species are NOT sharing nutrients. They just happen to grow very close together.

I think it is very difficult to identify images with this image.

Yes. So I have been told. My error. I have to go back to the national park to get more details.
